Disclaimer

This site publishes a large library of cost guides, material notes, locality pages and planning advice. It is written carefully and in good faith, but it is general information. Your property is specific, and this disclaimer explains the difference.

General guidance, not property-specific advice

The guidance here is written for a typical property of the kind described. It cannot account for your building's structure, age, services, orientation, society by-laws or municipal conditions. Nothing on this site should be treated as a professional assessment of your specific property, and you should not make an irreversible decision based on a web page alone.

Costs are indicative

Cost ranges, package tiers, percentage breakdowns and per-square-foot figures are planning aids. They are derived from typical projects and adjusted for locality, and they will not match every situation. They are not quotations, and we do not undertake to deliver work at any figure published here. An itemised quotation after a site visit is the only reliable number.

Material and specification notes

Material recommendations — plywood grades, finishes, hardware, waterproofing and climate-related specifications — reflect standard trade practice for the conditions described. Product ranges, grades and brand specifications change, so confirm current specifications and warranty terms with the manufacturer or with us before ordering.

Structural, electrical and plumbing work

Any work affecting structure, load-bearing elements, waterproofing, electrical capacity, gas or plumbing must be designed and executed by appropriately licensed professionals, with the approvals your building and local authority require. Do not rely on general guidance from this site for such work. Removing or coring structural elements in a high-rise, in particular, requires structural clearance.

Permissions and society rules

We describe common permission requirements — housing society NOCs, work-hour restrictions, deposits, hill-station and eco-sensitive zone norms, fire and industrial clearances — as they generally apply. Requirements vary by building, by local authority and over time. Always confirm what applies to your property with your society or the relevant authority.

Vastu and similar references

Where we mention Vastu-aware placement, we are accommodating a client preference in the layout. We present it as a design preference, not as a technical or scientific claim, and not as a predictor of any outcome.

Locality information

Locality pages describe the character, typical property stock and building conditions of an area to help you plan. They are general observations about an area, not statements about any particular building, builder, project or property transaction, and nothing on them is investment or property-valuation advice.
